This lab introduced me to using John the Ripper for cracking passwords. It required creating users and assigning them passwords with different levels of complexity. This was a fun lab because I got to experience password‑cracking for the first time.

I don’t know if I would call it a challenge, but I did have to wait a long time for John the Ripper to crack multiple user passwords. It definitely took longer than I expected.
