CYSE 409

Crime and Computer Applications

This course displayed to me the fundamental ways in which cybercrime is both committed and thoroughly investigated from computers. The class has also allowed me the opportunity to hear out how cybercriminals and cyber investigators, talk about there careers and there line of work. Which was very interesting to me, since normally when we are in a academic setting, we never get to investigate or look into the bad individuals on the internet, and what there motives were behind the cybercrime. This class has also allowed me the opportunity to explore a variety of software tools, related to the topics of Operational Security (OPSEC), Open source Intelligence (OSINT), and the darknet. This class was very fascinating to me, since we could explore the deepest and darkest areas of the internet, in which was not at all what I expected. Below you find some of my work, that was completed throughout the course, on various topics discussed above.
