Andriy Slynchuk has described eleven things Internet users do that may be illegal. Review what the author says and write a paragraph describing the five most serious violations and why you think those offenses are serious.

- By far the most serious I would have to say is the collection of children’s information. Online is steadily become less and less safe for younger people who are more vulnerable to the complex online actions people, companies, and hackers take against them. Their ignorance of online dangers is a real risk, and the information people gather on them could be used for any number of malicious things.
- A close second would have to be Online Bullying and Trolling. Online bullying is a rampant online problem today between not only peers and strangers, but people across all aspects of life, affiliation, race, gender, etc. It can lead to mental illness, low self-esteem, and could spiral out of control, and potentially lead to doxxing, or offline violence.
- Sharing Passwords, Addresses, or Photos with others is a potential danger. Not only could they use these to access your, or another person’s account(s), they could use any provided information to track a person down, or use them for leverage in a physical intrusion attempt on their home, or workplace.
- Using Other People’s Networks is another big problem. You could commit any number of illegal online activities, and it would be traced back to them, potentially implicating them in a crime they had no idea was committed using their own network.
- Finally, I think the Use of Torrent Services is another big online crime. Many people argue that it’s essentially a “grey area” of the law, where it’s illegal to share and distribute, but not to download, but this is inherently false. Any transaction with torrent involving a pirated, or illegal copy of a song, movie, game, images, etc. is illegal.
