Group Reflection 3

With this being the final reflection, I’ll give my final full thoughts on the project, and our group’s work during it. Overall, I think the group project idea is a good one, since it’s flexible, and allows us to work at our own pace with our own submission and doesn’t handicap the team if one member isn’t pulling their own weight. I have a friend in Texas who is experiencing that right now with her group work, and she is experiencing a lot of stress thanks to it. Getting back on topic, the independence of it ended up working for us since all members of our group are busy with schoolwork, work in general, and like we discussed over text, we weren’t close enough to meet in person. We had discussed a Zoom meeting, or a meeting with the instructor, but it never ended up happening.

Our group work was fairly straight forward. We introduced ourselves, and started throwing out ideas for what we wanted out project topic to be on. From there we nailed down some specifics, but we mostly did our own thing from there. I’ve had my submissions completed for over 2 weeks, but we never ran them by one another, never looked at each other’s work, and from this point were largely independent. I think it would have been nice if we could have gotten a meeting in together, and nailed down more specifics, but overall, I think we did well. As I said a few times before, the nature of this kind of group work lends itself more to independence than an overall group effort, so as soon as we have what we need from it, we can all go and do our own thing, which was nice.
