Awards and Recognitions

I had the opportunity to be featured in an official Old Dominion University article highlighting the Student Security Operations Center and the hands on work I completed as a SOC intern. The article focused on how students applied real cybersecurity skills in a live environment, including phishing investigations and working with industry tools. Being included in this article shows that my work stood out and that I was actively contributing to real security operations while still a student.

As part of this experience, I also attended an ODU Board of Visitors meeting with other SOC interns where we introduced ourselves and spoke about our role in the program. This gave me the opportunity to represent the SOC, communicate my experience, and engage with university leadership in a professional setting.

I have earned Dean’s List recognition three times at Old Dominion University. This reflects my consistency, discipline, and ability to maintain strong academic performance while gaining hands on experience through internships.

These recognitions connect directly to my career goals in cybersecurity. They show that I have real experience, can perform in professional environments, and can communicate my work effectively. They also demonstrate that I am not just learning concepts, but applying them and being recognized for it.
