The LeADERS program is designed to give students real world experience beyond the classroom by combining leadership, academics, internships, research, and writing. Throughout this program I was able to connect what I learned in class to practical experiences that directly relate to my career in cybersecurity.

My experience in LeADERS helped me develop both technical and professional skills. The most valuable part of the program was the opportunity to apply my knowledge in real environments, especially through my cybersecurity internship. I was able to move beyond theory and actually work with real security tools, investigate threats, and understand how organizations operate.

LeADERS also helped me improve important professional skills such as communication, problem solving, and critical thinking. These skills are just as important as technical knowledge in cybersecurity because analysts must be able to explain findings clearly and make decisions under pressure.

This experience was significant because it helped me build confidence in my abilities and confirmed my interest in cybersecurity. It showed me how different areas such as leadership, research, and writing all connect and support professional growth.
