Intro to Containerization

This project was the second extracurricular project that I worked on as a freshman at Old Dominion University. The project gave me the opportunity to expand on the knowledge that I gained from the first project and learn more about containerization as it relates to virtualization. The two projects included the use of various technologies such as software virtualization using Oracle VirtualBox, Port Forwarding, SSH and HTTP, Linux running on Ubuntu Server, File Permissions, Firewalls (UDP and TCP), SSH using a client such as PuTTY, LAMP Stacks (Linux, Apache Web Server, MySQL Server Database, and PHP), HTML, and Containerization using Docker. This gave me some additional insight into the kinds of IT skills and technologies that I would need to familiarize myself with in pursuit of a career into the field of information technology.
