Over the course of the semester, we had three different compositions to do. These compositions allowed me to practice written interactions as they occur in real life, which is important because many first impressions are made through written form. At the end of each following section is a Word document that you can download and view.
Carta comericial
This first composition is a business letter, in which I am requesting to meet with the owner of a shopping mall to open another location of my franchise. In this letter, I learned how to write very formally in Spanish and also how to format business letters. I am very pleased with how it turned out.
Carta de presentación
This composition is a letter in regards to a job listing. This composition taught me how to present myself to employers, and what some good talking points are.
CV europeo
This composition was the creation of a resume with the Europass document, a standard resume form provided by the European Union. That alone gave me a perspective on the role that the EU may play in the lives of its inhabitants. Writing this composition forced me to consider what some of my actual strengths and weaknesses are, so I would say it was food for reflection. In the CV, there were some things I should have done differently, such as including a picture or more information to some of the personal attributes. When you read it, keep in mind that some of the information is made up so that I could adequately complete the assignment.
