Spanish Research Seminar
In this class, students were able to conduct an in-depth investigation into a topic of their choosing. We would have a series of assignments to complete, receiving constant feedback from the professor. The topic that I chose to investigate was decolonial thought. Attached below is the reflection paper I wrote at the end of the course, followed by all the other assignments in chronological order.
Reflection Paper:
Prospectus: The prospectus was the first essay we wrote. Its purpose was to introduce our topic of investigation and to form a thesis to center our paper around.
Annotated Bibliography: The annotated bibliography was the product of looking into the actual body of work concerning our topic of investigation, and compiling the resources which would be most useful to us.
Clarification Essay: The clarification essay was the second essay we wrote about our investigation after we had found resources about our topic and had formed better-informed analysis.
Video Presentation: The video presentation below was done after the rough draft of the final essay was completed. It served to help us see where we had gaps in our thinking when we tried to explain the topic aloud.
Final Essay: The final essay was the conclusive essay after all the investigation into our topic had been done.
