Don’t be a broke college student stereotype! Below are some ways to make money while in college:
- Get a job and/or internship. This is the most obvious way to make money. Stop by ODU’s Career Development Services (https://www.odu.edu/cds) to get assistance finding a job or internship on-campus or within the community!
- Apply for scholarships. This is the best way to get lump sums of money! As long as you maintain your academics, you can usually receive the same scholarships over and over again each semester or academic year.
- Sell your textbooks. Take a picture of textbooks you no longer need and sell them online or in-person. Students have done this through ODU class pages on Facebook and through the ODU bookstore (https://www.bkstr.com/olddominionstore/sell-textbooks).
- Sell other items. Have clothes, shoes, accessories, or any other items you no longer want or need? Sell them through Poshmark, Depop, or Facebook’s Marketplace!
