Resources for Your Young Children

Below are some resources to help you and your young child or children adjust to online learning and being at home!

  1. Your Child’s Learning Materials. Check with your school division, school, and/or child’s teacher to get access to remaining materials for the school year. Some schools are providing a package of worksheets for parents to pick-up in-person. Others are using a virtual classroom, such as ClassDojo, to upload lectures, activities, and quizzes/exams.
  2. Meals from School. Also check with your school division to see where, when, and how often meals are being offered for your school-aged children. http://bit.ly/2020SchoolMeals
  3. Audio Streaming Service. Pinna is offering 2 months of free screen-free, ad-free podcasts, audiobooks, and music for kids ages 3-12. Create an account and enter the promo code PINNA4KIDS in step 2 of the sign up process on https://pinna.fm/
  4. Scholastic Learn at Home. 20 days of free lessons for PreK-9+. Every day includes 4 separate learning experiences, each built around a thrilling, meaningful story or video. Kids can do them on their own or with their families. Click on a grade level and let the learning begin! http://bit.ly/Sch2020lastic
