Dear 18 year old me,
You’ve started college now and that means a new chapter of your life. Take this as an opportunity to start fresh, and truly embrace the real you. Classes will get harder, motivation must be stronger, and you have to stop procrastinating. When situations get stressful, don’t retreat back into a shell like you always do; take them head on because they will develop you into a better version of yourself.
Younger me, quite underestimating your abilities. Every quirk you have, your extreme attention to detail, and your bleeding heart will come in handy. Keep your eyes open and head up because you are surrounded by possibilities you didn’t even know existed. Oh yeah, don’t forget to also look beyond the majors you thought were available and explore topics you’ve never had the chance to. They might just lead you in a direction you never thought possible.
XO,
23 year old me
P.S. It’s okay to do things alone sometimes, builds character
