Are you ready for finals? Here’s a checklist to help you prepare!
- Know the dates of your final exams (or whether or not you have any). Some courses do not have a final, while others have a timeframe that a final has to be completed within.
- Know whether exams will be cumulative (of everything you’ve learned this semester) or only on certain units or chapters. This can save you time from studying units you won’t be tested on!
- Know the format of exams (essay, multiple-choice, fill-in-blank, true/false).
- Know if there is a time limit.
- Know where online exams will be taken (ProctorU, Blackboard, TopHat, etc.).
- Review any provided study guides or create your own.
- Review past quiz and exam questions.
- Attend any online review sessions.
- Read chapter summaries in textbooks.
- Do practice questions.
- Use office hours to ask your professors any questions.
- Use ODU tutoring centers.
