As a student in college many times you will find that you have a question or you need help in a certain area of your life. At ODU we offer many resources to help you to succeed while you are here with us. For starters there are many important people you should get to know as soon as possible, that is: your advisor, a success coach, your professors, a peer mentor, an academic coach, and so on! Granted, you probably do not need to know every type of person I mentioned above, but it would be nice to get to know at least some of them.
Another way to use your resources can be to familiarize yourself with the ODU webpages, blackboard apps, and tutoring services. These platforms are designed to help you through your time here at college. When I was entering college I went on every ODU website I could lay my eyes on, I followed every link, and read just about every article posted. Yes, I was a very eager freshman, but that definitely ended up helping me in the long run.
All in all, if you use the resources available to you, you will be able to achieve more than you ever thought you could and have a huge knowledge base to look back on whenever you need help with anything.
