Time to De-Stress

As the semester comes to a quick close, you may feel yourself becoming overwhelmed. Whether it be from school work, housing for next semester, work, friends, or life in general… it’s safe to say that almost everyone has a point in their life where they feel overwhelmed.

You may be struggling with finding the perfect routine or coping mechanism to help feel less overwhelmed, but can’t seem to find the perfect fit for your current situation.

Listed below are a couple of ways you can de-stress and realign your focus before we dive into finals for the last leg of the semester.

  1. Put the phone down & Close the screen!
    1. It may seem like your cell-phone is the answer to any stressful situation but surprisingly your cell-phone can cause more stress. Also the computer screen has been highly linked to more stress, lost of sleep and depression in women.
  2. Practice deep breathing exercises
    1. Deep breathing plays a major role in helping your body to feel super relaxed, relieve tension and reduce stress.
  3. Workout or go for a nature walk
    1. A quick walk or wok rout will help to relieve stress and will definitely boost endorphins and allows time for some daily reflection.
