Make Ear Savers for Face Masks

If you are looking for ways to help your community during this time, you can make ear savers to donate! Plenty of tutorials can be found on YouTube or Tik Tok.

What are ear savers? They are reusable items used to pull back the elastic bands on face masks. This is to prevent pressure and discomfort on the ears from wearing face masks all day. Ear savers can be made with plastic folders, placemats, or be 3D printed. You can find outlines of ear savers from Google Images, print out the outline you want, and trace it on the plastic material of your choice. If your choice of material is a plastic folder, use spray adhesive to glue two together. This is necessary, since one will easily tear and won’t allow for multiple uses. However, Dollar Tree placements are the most affordable, time-saving, and effective materials for this project. More ear savers can be made and you do not have to worry about layering two to build durability.
