For this assignment, I strived to make and improve my Sports Journal by making it more professional and visually appealing. After looking at the ODU ePortfolio resources, I focused on both the organization and design of my site.

First off I updated my homepage to truly reflect my identity as a student athlete and pitcher at Old Dominion University. I made my introduction more clear for people looking at the site to quickly understand who I am and my goals.

Next I organized my posts into categories and changed some of the titles to make them more engaging and adjusted with sports media writing. I also added visuals and removed some content that wasn’t necessary content which helped the whole look of the site. Then I made my introduction more clear so visitors can quickly understand who I am and my goals, while also strengthening my personal brand.

These changes helped transform my Sport Journal from a basic class blog into a more polished digital portfolio that better represents my skills and interests in sport communication. The improvements make the site more visually appealing and more effective as a professional platform that I could share with future employers or connections in the sports industry.
