Research

My interests lie in the broad spectrum of the smart grid research that integrates traditional knowledge of electric power systems – together with optimization algorithms, agent technology, cyber-physical system, cybersecurity, smart grid-related communications, protocols, and standards – to address an emerging set of challenges in electric power system research. In particular, I am interested in research topics that involve the development of enabling technologies and intelligent algorithms that potentially transform traditional electric power grids to be more intelligent, and fit into the overall “transactive energy” concept.

Are you interested in SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT, EMBEDDED SYSTEMS, WIRELESS COMMUNICATION, and/or INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)? We are looking for Undergraduate/Graduate students for several research projects on software development, embedded systems, wireless communication, and/or the internet of things (IoT). The candidate should possess a background in Electrical/Computer Engineering and Technology and/or Computer Science. The allowance offered is around $500-$1500 per month.
