Teaching

I believe that students can learn best by linking the theories, concepts and empirical examples taught in the classroom environment with their own life experience and/or practical problems faced today in the electric power industry. I would like to integrate emerging concepts in the electric power industry, e.g., smart grid, transactive energy and grid, into traditional power/energy area courses. My contributions to Old Dominion University regarding teaching power/energy/smart grid area courses are: (1) to engage my active research and provide practical examples to the classroom environment; (2) to leverage my networks and connections and integrate point-of-view from the industry experts to the classroom environment; and (3) to train university students to become a leader in electrical engineering who are aware of emerging trends and technologies.
