Based on what I read the definitions of personal information can play a crucial part when researching an individual. Through the simple access of a username or email address, password, and security question, an individual’s information can be accessed. For instance, social security number, driver’s license number, medical information, debit or credit card number, background, ethnicity, and name. Consequently, this information can benefit researchers by making sure that all info is encrypted to protect individuals personal information. Also, in these breachers there might be information on what type of breach it is or maybe even how to counter the breach. The information given in these data breaches can allow researchers to analyze it to make sure it doesn’t happen again in the future.
