Explain how the principles of science relate to cybersecurity.

Relativism relates to cybersecurity by giving the idea that a change in a system can lead to another change in system. Objectivity relates to the subject by disregarding biases when researching or collecting data based on a cybercrime or a hackers motives. Furthermore,  parsimony is the thought of a social scientists giving the least amount of variables when analyzing a cybercrime. Parsimony can be difficult to display when talking about cybercrimes, but social scientists try their best to narrow down the subject to the most simple and reasonable variables as possible. Empiricism relates to cybersecurity by showing that ideas in cybercrime shouldn’t be determined by a mere hunch or thought, but instead through natural senses. In addition, the reason why empiricism is most commonly practiced is to stray away from incorrect conclusions or data when observing cybercrime. Ethical neutrality plays a part in cybersecurity by enabling social scientists to use ethics when analyzing cybercrime. For example, a social scientist not using personal information when studying cybercrime. Finally, determinism is the idea that cybercrimes are caused by previous events. Determinism gives an idea on why somebody might start hacking but doesn’t not give a full representation on why somebody would commit such a crime.
