Hacking or sabotaging a website or system for your own entertainment is likely to happen. It is known that when offenders get caught, they often use this excuse as to the reasoning of why.
6. Multiple Reasons
Many people have their own reasons of why they commit the crimes they do but when it comes down to it, just do the right thing. Everyone believes their actions are justified but the fact is they are not.
5. Political
There are people who have political motive behind their attacks. As if one company goes down it can profit them or in other cases where someone is rooting for a specific person of their political party, they can sabotage the other candidate by hacking their social media handle and doing many other things.
4. Boredom
Boredom can get people in a lot of trouble as you mind is wondering. There have been scenarios where people are bored and start playing with websites checking for their vulnerabilities which can get you in trouble if you are not authorized to do so.
3. Recognition
Recognition at times can be similar to a drug, where some people just have to have it. In the case of cybercrime some people only participate in the act for the notoriety even if it is bad.
2. Revenge
Revenge can be returned in many forms of cybercrime that include hacking, DDOS, malware, and many other forms. Revenge is common for a lot of harsh crimes that happen in this world and a group or person will likely want to get payback for any wrongdoings.

Money is number one because if you have money that equals power and prestige. A good percentage of cybercrimes is related to money making money the ultimate motive.
