An Effective Reflection Is
I experienced some hardships more than I did in Spanish 1. In Spanish 1 you are more knowledgable of what you are learning because the teacher goes over a good amount learned in high school. Spanish 2 was a challenge because there were new elements involving in the changing of sentences that were not the same as Spanish 1. For example learning preterite, formal commands and informal commands was hard to remember for me and I struggled with retaining the information we learned. But over time as we went over it and applied it to the topics we were learning it made it easier to remember.
Some of my strengths in the class was knowledge of vocabulary. I felt this semester I was able to figure out how sentences are structured from question to answer. It happened much more naturally than in my Spanish one class last semester. Knowing how verbs change and how the sentences depend on the subject. It made it a lot easier to figure out how to say the answers to questions I was not super familiar with.
Exploring Culture
Some practices and products in the Spanish culture I learned about this semester was food! The different types of meals Spanish people make challenged my perspective of my worldview. There are a good amount of food that Spanish speaking people eat that is apart of their culture. It did not create any challenges for me knowing these types of food but interested me and made me want to learn more. I think its beautiful that every culture has their own types of food. I think when most Americans think of Spanish food they think of guacamole, queso, chicken, and rice. But I have learned its so much more than that and I believe that is a common stereotype created. They have tapas which is a small and god meal before an entree. They also make food differently than we do, for example different kinds of soup and more!!

Engaging in Communities
I think it is very important to reach out and communicate with our local and global communities. There will never be a negative result of exploring other cultures in our global communities, there is only positive. Becoming more well rounded and cultured is a great quality to have and will help you along life like in a job for instense.

Interpersonal Communication
We completed a talk abroad twice this semester. Both talk abroads are 15 minutes long. All students speak to a person from a spanish speaking country.
Talk abroad was a very difficult task to do in my opinion both times. The challenges I endured from talk abroad was how nerve wracking it was. It is not easy to put yourself in a situation to speak to another person from a different country. I definitely studied a lot before these interviews to not embarres myself and wanted to have an easy flowing conversation. In the end once both interviews were over with the ladies made me very comfortable and I had flowing conversations.
Presentational Speaking
I have not done any presentation speaking activities besides participating in class when my teacher asked us questions in Spanish.
Presentational Writing
Some examples of presentational writing I completed was my depression infographic. This was focused around commands and how to stay healthy! It was a simple project and taught me many things about how commands are written.
