In this exercise it became apparent that certain occupations have gender role stereotypes such as babysitter, dancer, and Makeup artist were both assumed to be female occupations. Higher paying occupations that held more respectability in society and that needed specialized training were assumed to be male occupations for the most part. I am female so I did assign more jobs to women then did my partner in the activity who was male. However, I also assigned male roles to certain jobs such as engineer and architect which are or more of a boys club. Not to say that I do not know women who are both. I have met females in that occupation but it is so few that I automatically assigned the job as male. This has to do with the shaping and molding of our society which is without question male dominated.
