My X Sport Persona – Footy!

My sports persona is similar to what I used to do back then – before I deleted it all! Back then, Instagram and Facebook were the two main platforms that I was on and, while I wasn’t that much into soccer as I am now, I still posted about my favorite players and teams. I used to support an abundance of soccer teams from around the world, until I found out that, it was not normal to be supporting a lot of teams. Me, not wanting to to be guy who shows no loyalty to a team or two, decided to pick the two teams I always looked forward watching: DC United and Real Madrid.

However, Real Madrid CF is located in Spain, and there was no way of me being able to see them in person. DC United, however, are only an hour away, and I was able to see them. And, since tickets were not that expensive and they like to play friendlies against European teams to warm up for the upcoming campaign, I documented every game I went to.

I decided to use X because I never really go into it, plus I wanted to see if posting on this platform will change my mind on not having a personal account. I feel as though having too many social media accounts isn’t good, but we will see. Anyways, I had never been to a stadium, and walking into Audi Field was something I’ll always remember. So, my tweets consisted of all the times I’ve went to Audi Field and the football stars I got to witness play.

Looking back at the tweets, It still amazes me that I was able to see so many of these players, who I grew up watching, in person. So many names I could list (most of them being from FC Bayern), but still. I added hashtags for each tweet, with each one different because of the different teams playing against DC United.
I feel as though the pictures and videos I posted along with the tweets gives the audience a more in depth look at how I was enjoying the game and making memories.
