During my three months in this class, I have learned about the ever evolving world of sports media and how a multitude of things have changed in sports. I’ve learned more about how news was spread back then, and how technology has advanced that to the point where you can almost find any piece of sports related news using just the tips of your fingers.

With regards to the social media persona assignment, I feel as though I created an accurate representation of how, in another world, I would use soccer to make content on various platforms, and attract an audience who appreciate and relates to the content. Obviously, I would not do this in today’s world as I don’t want the negative effects that comes with creating content for others. Maybe in the future that’ll change, but we’ll see. For the whole blog and posts in general, I feel as though I could have put a bit more effort into the overall presentation of the blog, as well as maybe adding more information in each blog. I was really hoping I’d get more advice on how to work on my blog from the writing center, but I also feel there could’ve been more effort put on my part.
Finally, I should have used my twitter account way more, just had to tweet about anything sport-related, but forgot. (Btw, my predictions were ALMOST perfect)
The Sport Journal was really easy for me as I had used my extensive knowledge of soccer to help me complete it and talk about an issue that we still face today, and one that has affected my favorite team.
The NIL White Paper was a bit challenging, as most of the information for the particular schools we looked at did not really update their policies regarding NIL. However, I feel me and my group members put our best work into providing information for the class about our finding, hopefully helping the grad students in competing the white paper.

Overall, I feel I will use a bit of everything we have learned and worked on through the semester in whatever I plan on doing in my career. Finally, I want to say this: Even though I did not talk through the semester, this class was probably the most interesting class I have taken at ODU, which I hopefully you don’t find hard to believe. Thank you.
