This is a writing-intensive course that focuses on the analysis, theoretical approaches, methodologies, and effects of the practice of art criticism. The course consists of exhibition reviews and review panels.

Below, I have included photos and a short review of an art exhibition that I have visited. The Exhibition Review should respond in some way to the ideas, challenges, and/or problems inherent in at least one of the texts read in the course. It includes information on the work as well as the artist.

Within the course, there was also an Open Format paper. I chose to write my paper on abstraction in art. I explain the concept of abstraction and provide references to examples of criticism of the art form. I reference artists like Cy Twombly as well as words of criticism of his work.
