Class Struggles

Context

In my determination skill I talk about my Degree Completion Plan which is my 4-year plan for all of college. I had to complete it twice because of my degree change in sophomore year and it did cause a lot of problems for me and could hinder my scholarship.

Reflection

Even though the number of classes that I was taking and also needing a fully thought-out plan that was correct was difficult there were many other issues that could happen. For NROTC I need to complete Calculus (1 and 2) and Physics Calculus based (1 and 2). Even though I made the degree completion plan I could always still fail a class and then have to revise my Degree Completion Plan to compensate for that class so I can still graduate on time to commission. I did struggle in all 4 of those classes but before these classes I have never really ever asked for help because I always relied on myself. During these classes I did realize that a great leader always has to pinpoint their issues so that they can always get better and I paid for varsity tutors, went to study hours, and even learned that I should even ask questions in my other classes so I can become more successful. This is important in the future because no one will want to get someone’s input if they are always, one sided to where it is always my way or the highway. These rough classes even though I hated them did teach me a valuable lesson that you should never be afraid to ask for help when you are struggling and I ended up passing all of these classes.
