I believe that this class was the first time I ever used Linux and this was very difficult for me. I didn’t have the proper computer to use this software and I didn’t know any of the commands I was using. At the beginning this was a big struggle for me as well as taking one of my hardest classes with it which was physics 2 calculus based. I am not the person that will just roll over and give up though. Instead on top of my required study hours I would also sign up for office hours with my Linux teacher and would figure out the assignments for about 3 hours a week. Throughout the week I started to understand and I learned more about the Linux command line, working with virtual machines, using cybersecurity tools to identify and analyze potential vulnerabilities. I used tools like Nmap and Metasploit for the most part to see open ports, services, and the potential vulnerabilities that could be on a machine. Overall this class made me very knowledgeable to navigate the Linux environment and understand how different tools worked.
