                                                 Write-up SCADA Systems

SCADA systems is an industrial control system used to control infrastructure processes like water treatment, wastewater treatment, etc, and facility-based processes like airports, space stations, ships, and etc. In the SCADA article in the first paragraph, a subsystem that is present in SCADA systems is a supervisory system that gathers all the required data about the process. This is important because it serves as a decision maker of the whole control system. It is essential in SCADA systems because without it the system could not run properly.

The vulnerabilities associated with critical infrastructure systems could also include the supervisory system that gathers all the required data about the process. This can become a vulnerability by its delayed response to failures. With the system’s response being delayed, it can make matters worse because operators wouldn’t be able to locate a problem until the matter gets worse.

SCADA applications help to reduce risks by allowing operators to monitor, control, and respond to problems quickly. I believe that this is the most important factor when it comes to the operation of the SCADA system.
