Writing and speaking a language will always be very different, I feel that I tend to be a lot better at speaking Japanese than writing it.  This course has thoroughly helped me through some of my issues writing Japanese, especially with being able to apply grammatical structures quickly and effectively using different styles.  In the past I have had serious trouble identifying what my own voice in writing should appear as, but through the coursework in this class it is a lot easier to identify and say what I want to say without having to think too long or use translators to get through what I want to say.
