Research Team


Kendra Rigney, M.S.

Kendra is a 3rd-year PhD student in the Health Psychology program. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2021 with a B.S. in Psychological Science and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies and in 2022 with a M.S. in Psychological Science with a Clinical Concentration. Kendra spent one year as an Instructor at Western Kentucky University before attending Old Dominion University. Her research interests include problematic cannabis use, disordered eating behaviors, and emotion dysregulation, specifically among sexual minority women. In her free time, Kendra enjoys reading, trying out new coffee shops, and taking care of her houseplants.


Emilia Aviles, B.A.

Emilia is a 1st-year doctoral student in the Health Psychology Program. She graduated from Virginia Common Wealth University with her bachelors degree in Psychology.


Bella Gensler, B.A.

Bella is a graduate student in the Master’s program. She graduated with bachelors degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University.
