Article Review #1 and The Cybersecurity and Cyberbullying In Iraq
Today we will be talking about the cybersecurity and
cyberbullying that is happening in Iraq. The incidents that happen are to
women mainly who get bullied online which is unfortunate. So, we will
talk about what happens with cyberbullying first before we talk about
the cybersecurity part so we can understand the problems with
cyberbullying first.
First, in cyberbullying, the women mainly have to deal with the
impoverished and disadvantaged which is a challenge when confronted
with cyberbullying. This in a way is a form of discrimination but the
problem is that it has a lack of legal provision when it is being addressed
in this. Because of this, there has been a rise in cyberbullying that
mainly targeted Iraq women. My question is, “Why hasn’t the
government done anything about this?” Well, they are trying to do
something about it. They have slowly implanted a safeguard for
women’s rights, and they are collaborating with the law enforcement
authorities when trying to protect the women of Iraq. The next question I
have is what type of cyberbullying are the women having to deal with?
Well, they are having to deal with hate speech, blackmailing, and etc.
This happens because of the lack of education in Iraq. When people
don’t know they shouldn’t put their personal information out there then
people will use that against the person and that person becomes a target.
Which then this led to cyberbullying for the women in Iraq but male
teenagers were affected by this too. So, I hope to see some improvement
in the future the women or anyone in Iraq.
Next, we will talk about cybersecurity in Iraq’s Digital
workplace. The reason I picked this one I feel like it could lead to
cyberbullying for women if there is no cybersecurity in a workplace in
Iraq. Let’s start with understanding how the organizational cyberculture
will relate to people’s understanding, views, assumptions, principles, and conventions that will be related to cybersecurity and why they show
up in technological devices. The digital workplace in Iraq’s main goal is
to protect sensitive data, guarantee business continuity, and maintain
trust with stakeholders. I question what their objectives are but from my
reading, they do show it and there are three of them. They are to assess
the impact of the organizational cybersecurity and the management of
the employees then they evaluate the impact of the policy and
compliance on their organizations when it comes to the Iraq digital
workplace. And I can see why these are the main three objectives I did
read. I can understand why they need to work on these and I can see how
it can make the workplace a much safer place when you work.
In conclusion, I can see why these can affect Iraq in ways.
Women are being cyberbullied in Iraq but the government is trying to
combat it in a way and They are trying to work on cybersecurity in the
digital workplace too. This can help fix many problems they have in a
way.
