Cyber technology has created opportunities for workplace deviance since confidential data (for both employees and customers) is usually stored digitally, so employees can more easily find ways to access it for unapproved reasons such as fraud or identity theft. Additionally it creates opportunities for inappropriate communication and/or digital harassment between employees.
