Sarah’s Sport Journal

With a deep love for sports, I’ve always been fascinated by the connection of athletics, identity, and mental health. I graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and have a strong interest in the role of sports in personal and societal development.

I am now pursuing research on athletic identity and mental health, and I am committed to helping athletes advance their careers—whether through additional education, professional growth, or meaningful contributions to the sports business. With a solid business background and a desire to make a significant difference, I am motivated to inspire a desire to pursue opportunities that combine athletics, mental health, and leadership.

This blog was created out of a love of sports and a strong interest in how athletic identity influences mental health. As a student with a business background and a growing interest in sports psychology, I wanted to create a platform for exploring these important topics, sharing research findings, and sparking relevant discussions.

My intention is that this blog will provide a forum for athletes, students, and professionals to discuss concepts that challenge perceptions and promote progress. Whether by examining studies, sharing personal stories, or debating the changing landscape of sports and mental health, I hope to make this blog a beneficial resource for anybody interested in the connection of athletics and well-being.
