Initially, the speaker began his career as an accountant. This is pretty unexpected because he ended up with a career in digital forensics. However, the speaker had early exposure to IT in a small accounting practice that eventually pulled him into the digital world.

As Davin Teo worked more in the digital realm, he found himself drawn to IT-related tasks. This is very interesting to me because of Teo’s background in accounting. Despite that initial focus, he embraced opportunities that involved working with computers and networks. This exploration between technology and investigation sparked interest in that intersection.

When Teo joined the first national digital forensic practice in Australia, he found working in a cutting-edge field with digital forensics intriguing. Teo accepting this invitation showed his willingness to take risks and step outside of his comfort zone. The recognition for potential growth and advancement in a field that he still wasn’t too familiar with, embarked him on a career path that eventually would become his true calling.

Over the years Teo has continued to expand his knowledge and expertise in digital forensics. Despite Teo’s unconventional entrance to digital forensics, he has shown and proven himself as skilled and dedicated to the world of digital forensics. His journey demonstrates the diverse backgrounds and skill sets that can help him succeed in this exciting and dynamic field.
