Maritime Tank Corrosion Detection and Classification Method

Summary:

The challenge of accurately and efficiently detecting corrosion within confined tank spaces presents significant safety and maintenance issues across industries. To address this, our project leverages an integrated UAV platform equipped with LiDAR, visual, and hyperspectral sensors for autonomous corrosion detection and classification.

  • Utilizing LiDAR for precise 3D mapping to navigate tank interiors.
  • Implementing visual imaging for detailed surface anomaly identification.
  • Employing hyperspectral sensing for material classification through spectral analysis.

By integrating these technologies, our solution enhances detection accuracy and operational safety, while reducing inspection costs and setting a new standard for autonomous monitoring in industrial environments.
