This program will span between the second and last weeks of July, with meetings Tuesdays and Thursdays spanning an hour and a half each from 6:30 PM to 8PM. These meetings will be held at the Haymarket Gainesville Library. Discussions will be steered mostly by the kids while gently guided by myself. Below is a working itinerary:

A sign-up sheet for the delivery of the materials will be available to the first signers, books can be handed out that night. Mostly a social event before the reading begins.
2)	07/10	6:30PM – 7PM Personal introductions/ice breakers   7PM – 7:30PM Intro to Faulkner readings; initial thoughts   7:30PM – 7:45PM Snack break   7:45PM – 8 PM Group discussion	At this second meeting a more centered, focused group will be expected and as such attention will shift from getting to know each other to getting to know the readings. Our first group discussions about the readings will take place, during which more free-form discourse about reading itself can hopefully take place.
3)	07/15	6:30PM – 7:30PM Group discussion     7:30PM – 7:45PM Snack break   7:45PM – 8PM Group discussion	I hope that by this time the group will have enough comfort and knowledge of the material to enter straight into discussion about Faulkner and for it to last about an hour; the snack break will occur an hour in per usual, and the shorter discussion will end the night.
4)	07/17	6:30PM – 7:30PM Group discussion   7:30PM – 7:45PM Snack break   7:45PM – 8PM Group discussion; trunk-or-treat; goodbyes	This will close the Faulkner discussions and I imagine will be the meeting in which the younger participants are phased out. Participants will be asked to wear reading-inspired costumes for a trunk-or-treat style event. Older participants and parents expected to begin reading Beloved between Meeting 4 & Meeting 5.
5)	07/22	6:30PM – 7:00PM Introduction to Toni Morrison & Beloved   7:00PM – 7:30PM Group discussion   7:30PM – 7:45PM Snack break   7:45PM – 8PM Group discussion	This will mark the beginning of the more “mature” section of our readings and hopefully spark conversations about the historical and social relevance of fiction beyond the more formalistic analysis we will be angling towards with Faulkner.
