Mad Fox Brewing Company, Falls Church, VA – Hostess
March 2018 – January 2019

Ensured guests had a positive experience through creative problem-solving, efficiency, and politeness. Learned mastery of both OpenTable and Yelp reservation systems, and used these skills to make sure guests were seated quickly and comfortably. Had the responsibility of taking to-go orders, keeping reservations organized, and bussing and resetting tables. Collaborated with coworkers to uphold the restaurant’s standards of hospitality, productivity, and cleanliness.
Whole Foods, Tysons, VA – Store Support
October 2019 – August 2020
Efficiently scan guests’ items and help them around the store. Provide customers with a quality experience through a positive attitude and effective problem-solving. Work alongside coworkers to ensure the store runs without issues, and support each other in completing assignments that are difficult or physically demanding. Bus the eating areas, collect carts around the store and parking lot, make sure cars are able to enter and exit the garage smoothly. Sanitize surfaces and provide masks and gloves for guests as they enter the store, ensuring a safe and clean environment. Showed compassion with customers to work with them and resolve any issues or find items.


COMMUNITY SERVICE
Global Leadership Adventures, Costa Rica – Beach Cleanup
July 2018 – August 2018

Traveled across the Guanacaste Province’s beaches to participate in environmental conservation efforts. Worked with peers to walk across approximately 3-5 miles of beach each day for two weeks and pick up litter. Organized trash and recycling and practiced proper safety measures. Formed friendships with members of beach communities to work together on this project, and learned basic Spanish. Got local school kids involved, promoting environmental mindfulness in the future and teaching them about protecting the Earth in a fun and engaging manner.


ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
National Art Honor Society, George C Marshall HS – Project Manager
September 2019 – June 2020

Had a leadership role in organizing the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) 2019 Induction Ceremony and first official meeting. Responsible for developing a program to educate and prepare new members about NAHS requirements and service opportunities. Set up the ceremony room, and helped give a presentation detailing all the current information about NAHS. Engaging young artists in their school and community, and promoting artistic expression, productivity, and awareness. Involvement in planning future NAHS and related art program events at George C Marshall High School.
Model United Nations Society, Old Dominion University General Body Member (August 2020 – Present), Member at Large (October 2020 – April 2021), Undersecretary General of Crisis Committees (May 2021 – April 2022), Director General (May 2022 – April 2023)
Has participated in, staffed, and helped plan events, as well as regularly attending both general body and officer meetings. Attended multiple collegiate conferences: UN Day, both in 2020 and 2021, SRMUN, 2020 and 2021, CHOMUN, 2021 and 2022, and &MUN, 2022. Helped staff ODUMUNC 44, ODU’s annual conference hosted for high schools. Vice Chaired the House of Commons committee, gaining experience on all levels of the dias, and was the first woman to be given the Secretariat Award for my performance staffing the event. Was elected to serve on the ODUMUN 2021-2022 officer board as the Undersecretary General of Crisis Committees. In this role, I organized and was in charge of ODUMUNC 45’s crisis committees. For the ODUMUN 2022-2023 officer board, was elected as the Director General, as which I will be assisting the Secretary General in organizing and hosting ODUMUNC 46.
