Humans VS Technology- How I would balance the trade-off between training and additional technology is to mainly put my budget more on technology. I will put my budget more on technology because with technology there would be fewer human errors and it is more precise. The reason why I would put my budget more on technology is because for example, I worked at Walmart back in the summer at self-checkout and we would have cameras at the checkout to detect if someone is stealing which prevented the business from losing money. Even though I was trained to be working at self-checkout, I wouldn’t be able to check who steals items due to the simple fact that there are plenty of self-checkout registers that I can’t manage. So that’s a prime example of human error that can lose a company’s profit.
