Topic: how does your major relate to Cyber Security Technology?

The goal of my major (Cyber Security), is to constantly employ measures(to include cybersecurity technologies like firewall, antivirus, data loss preventions, intrusion, extra passwords and many more) to ensure any and all threats surrounding the cyber sphere are neutralized to a point where humans will have no course for alarm leaving humanity to freely and fairly carry out any transaction in the cyber space.

Based on how fast cyber technology is growing and the various ways it is changing mankind, there has risen the need to safeguard information in an effective way from the unauthorized actors who are taking advantage of the technology to harm (hack) and use information in ways that amounts to crime. With the comfortability cybersecurity technology brings, humankind can carry out numerous transactions without physical contact or presence. With this been said vital information are stored digitally which allows for easy access. Cybersecurity is employed to safeguard and protect information from the unauthorized user. 

Cybersecurity technology plays a very important role in the field of information or cyber technology including securing and or protecting critical infrastructure, personal information, etc which has become one of the biggest challenges in the present day and age. Anytime cyber security or cybersecurity technology is being mentioned, the one thing that comes to mind is ‘cybercrime’ which is severely overtaking how safe our information is in the cyber sphere. Organizations that are affected by the continuous threats in the cyber world are eagerly working to resolve and come out with solutions in order to set the minds of customers or users at ease. This is where my major (Cyber Security) sets in. Our job is to keep the cyber space as secured as could be using but not limited to the few measures listed above. From critical national information networks to banking, through browsing the social media to purchasing a sandwich at a roadside restaurant, we give out a whole lot of essential information which in turn is maintained in a digital or cyber form. Social media sites and most of these organizations employ cybersecurity measures to include technologies in order to protect and safeguard information received and ensure customer safety as they engage in all the various activities provided.
