Introduction to Cybersecurity
CYSE 300, Introduction to Cybersecurity, provided a broad but structured foundation for the core principles that define modern cybersecurity practice. The course covered essential topics such as computer system architectures, cryptography, network security, risk assessment, information assurance, and critical infrastructure protection. Throughout the semester, I was introduced to the basic side with some practical parts of cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on how real-world systems are protected, attacked, and defended.

Offered me a reinforcement of the value of discipline and structure in cybersecurity reporting. Every assignment required clear documentation, professional formatting, and logical reasoning behind conclusions. This reflects how cybersecurity professionals must communicate findings to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership.

CYSE 300 provided a strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and their real-world applications. Through hands-on labs and structured assignments, I developed practical skills in network analysis, vulnerability assessment, system security configuration, and risk management. More importantly, the course reinforced the importance of precision, discipline, and structured thinking in cybersecurity work.
This experience directly supports my current professional path in cybersecurity operations and incident response. The knowledge and skills gained from this course will continue to be applied in identifying threats, strengthening system defenses, and contributing to more secure and resilient environments in the future.
