Essential Work Habits

Throughout my experience working in multiple different fields related to IT, such as Help Desk, Network Operations Center support, security operations center analyst, and cyber incident responder, all beginning at the age of 17, shows that I have a strong, diverse set of skills from a young age. Below are the skills I have used most to better support the roles I have filled over the years, and that continue to help me advance in my career.

  • I’m highly detail-oriented, which helps me be efficient with troubleshooting.
  • I’m structured but can be flexible in the way I complete my work, making me adaptable.

Solid Technical Foundation

Following my experience with all my jobs, I have also had to earn a great many certifications, and as of March 28, 2026, I’m still studying a few for work, which I aim to complete soon as I graduate from college. Without certifications in IT, I would never be able to get my foot in the door, even with a potential college degree, and that’s because these tests are their bread and butter. The certs I currently possess are Cnnp Security, CYSA+, and Sec +. I am also furthering my progression in my career by studying CHFI (professional forensics cert) and the CISSP. Going forward with the foundation I created for myself through my jobs is:

  • Learned to efficiently use monitoring security tools
  • I have hands-on experience working with configurations and switches
  • I understand threat detection and how to isolate it
  • I have reviewed several policies and understand the best course of action for our company when it comes down to it.
