My score on the Social Media Disorder Scale was a six out of nine. The items in the scale, and the questions, were understandable. Heavy social media use was normalized over the years as we rely more and more on technology. Although I’m pretty addicted, I never had arguments about my use, lied about how long I’ve been on it, or had a serious conflict over using it. I mean, the number of things created online for our convenience is the main factor. Contributing to and giving us options for everyday needs and entertainment. Different patterns are likely worldwide based on how each government handles technology. For example, some entertainment media is banned in some countries. In some other countries, extreme restrictions and regulations show only a few selected amounts. (North Korea).
