Criminal justice encompasses all of the laws that are in effect prior to, during, and following the commission of a crime. The primary objectives of the criminal justice system are to protect society, punish offenders and rehabilitate criminals. Our criminal justice system comprises law enforcement, judicial systems, and correctional systems. This specifically covers attorneys, judges, courts, lawyers, jails, and police. These systems work together to investigate, prosecute, and punish prosecutors.

Cybercrime refers to a type of crime that involves the utilization of cyber technology or computer networks. Examples of types of cybercrime are phishing, internet fraud, identity theft, and hacking. The primary goals of cybercriminals are monetary gain, espionage, and political motivation. Cybercrime can have a detrimental effect on organizations and individuals, that can result in a loss of intellectual property, revenue, personal information, and reputation.

With the rise of cyber technology, it is significant that our criminal justice system assesses the potential risks of utilizing computer systems. This requires our criminal justice system to collaborate with technical enterprises to assess cybercrime. By doing this, we can ensure that our judicial systems are technically capable of handling digital evidence. In collaboration with technological industries, the legislative branch can create new laws and regulations regarding criminal activity on computer systems.

Hackers have the ability to commit cybercrime anonymously from any part of the world, which can be challenging for our law enforcement to track down the prosecutors. This requires our criminal justice system to collaborate with foreign affairs to manage cybercrimes.

In conclusion, cybercrime has become a challenge for our criminal justice system to govern. It is significant that users are aware of the dangers of cybercrime. However, by working with law enforcement systems and technological industries we can safeguard the effects of cybercrime from individuals and organizations and ensure criminals are held accountable for their malicious actions.
