Hello, my name is Caitlyn Kidd. I am a Dean’s List, junior music education student at Old Dominion University. I come from a family of five. My family and I have a very close relationship with one another and they are my biggest role models. I am involved in two organizations on Old Dominion’s campus. I am the current President-Elect for Ebony Impact Gospel Choir and a member of the Model Committee for Prestige and Poise Modeling and Majorette Troupe. I have chosen these two organizations because they both represent the person I am outside of college. I have experience teaching K-8 students. I also volunteer with an organization during the summer months for a week-long camp. This has made a big contribution to my love for teaching. It has also given me insight into what grade level I will one day like to teach. During high school after I was appointed the role of dance captain, I knew from then on that I wanted to and had to make teaching music my profession. After this revelation, I have stuck to the path of becoming a music educator.
