Complete the Social Media Disorder scale. How did you score? What do you think about the items in the scale? Why do you think that different patterns are found across the world?
I answered “no” to all the questions except one that asked if I neglected homework, hobbies, and sports to use social media. Sometimes, stress makes me procrastinate, and social media is a great way to relieve it. However, I’m not overly addicted to social media. My daily screen time is currently at 6 hours or less. More than half of that time is spent playing games, but I’m not addicted to gaming either. As I grow older, I’ve started reading self-improvement books, such as meditation books. These books cover topics like being present, clearing your mind, reducing the noise of your inner voice, and maintaining constant concentration. They’re great for improving your mental well-being.
