These internships are some of the best on campus. I strongly encourage you to apply if you are eligible. The fabulous aspect is that because members of the Virginia legislature have limited staff assistance, interns who develop a reputation for competence can end up involved with VERY interesting work. The application deadline is November 9th. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

2019 General Assembly Internship Program
The General Assembly Internship Program is a great opportunity for students to acquire practical knowledge and hands-on experience with the legislative process through working full-time with state legislators during the General Assembly session. The session runs between January 9, 2019 through February 23, 2019. Working closely with legislators and their staff, interns develop professional skills while strengthening their political knowledge and gaining a unique understanding of Virginia’s General Assembly.
