Members of the HaBiT Lab are engaged in research on a variety of health and behavior topics, including:
- Sexual minority women’s health behaviors (particularly eating and substance use) and well-being (mood, stress, relationship factors, body dissatisfaction)
- Disordered eating and body acceptance interventions for college women
- Adverse life events and their impact on college students’ psychosocial functioning
- Optimal study designs for assessing and intervening with people in their daily lives (e.g., using smartphones, wearable sensors, etc.)
Students and faculty collect and analyze data on these topics in preparation for conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications. Below is information about our current, collaborative, and recently completed research projects.
