Kaytlin Armitage (she/her/hers)
Kaytlin Armitage graduated from ODU, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on trauma and comorbidities. Her interest in trauma stems from her service in the Virginia Army National Guard and the stories of her fellow service members. In her free time, Kaytlin enjoys spending time with friends, studying in the library, or watching her team, the Steelers, lose another game.
Selah Ball (she/her/hers)
Selah graduated from the College of William & Mary majoring in psychology and minoring in kinesiology. She was accepted into grad school for Occupational Therapy (OT). Throughout her coursework, she has developed a research interest on the relationship between mind and body. In her spare time, she is either behind a camera shooting a short film or attempting to read books that have been collecting dust on her shelves.
Mira Hopkins (she/her/hers)
Mira graduated from ODU majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Biology. She is currently a Master’s student in ODU’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, and eventually wants to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She is particularly interested in epigenetic markers associated with PTSD and preventative treatments for high-risk populations. She is also interested in child and adolescent psychology. She is a veteran of the Army National Guard and a mom of two humans and four dogs. In her free time, she enjoys puzzles, painting, and fostering dogs.
Alex Tolstopyatov (he/him/his)
Alex graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus with a major in psychology while serving as an active-duty hospital corpsman in the Navy. During his service and undergraduate studies, he developed a range of interests spanning affective psychopathology, cognition, and beliefs. Given the alignment between his interdisciplinary focus and the TRAC lab’s multidisciplinary approach, he seeks research experience in preparation for pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. In his free time, he enjoys dabbling in the arts and music, reading literature, and hiking.
Alice Troutman (she/her/hers)
Alice is a sophomore at ODU majoring in Psychology with a minor in Biology. She plans to pursue a master’s degree and later a Ph.D. In Clinical Psychology with a neuropsychology concentration. She is particularly interested in the relationship between the brain and behavior. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with friends.
